Parsley Bay Residence

Built in 1906, this traditional Victorian era home is nestled within the leafy streets of the Sydney harbourside suburb, Vaucluse.

A history brimming with character, this home was a joy to discover right from day one. Historically, it is one of three original homes constructed in the area and served as a home for the seaplane pilots who would moor their planes down in nearby Parsley Bay. The stories it could tell if these walls could talk!

The current owners were adamant about restoring the home and honouring its past while still adding their personality and stamp on the interiors.

  • Complete redecoration of all living spaces and bedrooms. With stage two in the pipeline, including a first floor addition and renovations to the kitchen and bathrooms, this old dame will eventually receive a top-to-bottom overall.

  • To honour the heritage and ‘past lives’ of the home while updating the technology to today’s ‘smart home’ requirements. Our clients were open to weaving personality, colour and interest into the space with the only requirement being blending one partner’s traditional taste with the other partner’s more contemporary style.
